To some, saying Happy New Year!!! before the first of January is a bad bad thing. I tend to forget that (with dire consequences, not as bad luck, but by startled reactions from friends!). This year I cautiously dodged this by wishing in advance a Happy New There instead … well, anyway, now it is safe : Happy New Year, yeaahh !!! to everyone (and … still in advance Happy New There!!! to the ones observant of the Chinese New Year).
